Raptors' Norman Powell out indefinitely with hand fracture

Toronto Raptors forward Norman Powell will be hanging back from games indefinitely as he heals from a fractured hand, the team said in a statement Saturday.

He sustained the injury to the fourth metacarpal bone on his left hand in the fourth quarter of Friday’s game against the Detroit Pistons, the team said. The Raptors went on to beat the pistons 105 to 92.

Friday’s game was the Raptors’ 10th win in a row, and if they win Sundays’ game against the Chicago Bulls it will tie their franchise record for longest winning streak.

They won 11 games in a row back in 2016 and again in 2018. This could be the third time they’ve made it to that long of a streak.
