Police warn of ground meat containing pills found near dog walking area

Toronto police are warning dog owners after ground meat was found containing pills in a dog walking area in Mimico.

Police say the meat was left in an area where dogs are walked, near Lake Shore Boulevard and Palace Pier Court over the past three days.

Authorities said it’s unknown what kind of ‘white substance’ was inside the pills.

Dog owners in the area are being advised to use caution when walking their pets in the area.

It remains unclear whether any dogs ingested the meat or were harmed by the substance.
