This weekend, you’ll have the opportunity to lace up your skates and hit the ice with Toronto’s very own Mayor John Tory as part of his annual winter skate party.
Toronto residents are invited to join the Mayor for an outdoor skate at Kew Gardens this Sunday, January 12 from 1 pm to 4 pm.
Looking back at last year’s skate party. Join me again this Sunday, from 1pm-4pm at Kew Gardens in the Beaches neighbourhood for my annual skate party – open to the public with free skate rentals, music, and of course a lot of skating. I hope to see you all there! pic.twitter.com/f7YSirWxGj

This family-friendly event will give the public a chance to celebrate the new year with the mayor and some members of city council.
There will also be complimentary skate rentals and hot chocolate, and plenty of winter fun.
So dust off your skates, and make sure to layer up!
