A 22-year-old man has been charged with over 100 criminal offences in relation to a series of residential break-ins, vehicle entries, and mail thefts in Markham.
On April 6, a residential break-in that occurred at a home on Walkerville Road, in the area of Cornell Park Avenue and Bur Oak Avenue, was reported to police.
According to law enforcement, the suspect involved was described as being an Asian male, who appeared to be 5’6″, and wearing dark clothing.
As the investigation progressed, officers were able to link the suspect to other criminal offences that happened in the area, based on the same physical characteristics.

On Wednesday, April 24, officers responded to the same neighbourhood after receiving a call about two community mailboxes being broken into and the mail inside being stolen.
Investigators say they were able to determine the suspect involved in the mail theft was the same suspect involved in the break and enters. Shortly after 2:30 pm, a suspect was arrested and a search warrant was executed at his residence on Cornell Park Avenue.
Ivan Man Kit Ma, who is also known as Kelvin Ma, now faces over 100 charges, including:
- Break and enter
- Theft of vehicle
- Fraud
- Mischief
- Theft of mail
- Possession of property obtained by crime
- Use of stolen credit card
- Theft under $5,000
