An LCBO location north of Toronto has confirmed a positive case of coronavirus among one of its employees.

According to the liquor board, an LCBO store in Markham, 192 Bullock Drive, was notified of a positive COVID-19 test of an employee on November 7.

The employee last worked on November 1 and is currently self-isolating at home.

“Public Health has not provided any directions or recommendations with respect to this location. This general notice is being provided out of transparency,” said the LCBO.

Throughout the pandemic, the LCBO has maintained several measures in order to keep employees and customers safe. This includes regular cleaning and sanitization, as well as mandatory face coverings, and in-store measures that promote physical distancing.

Earlier this month, two LCBO locations in Vaughan also reported employees testing positive for COVID-19.

Positive cases have also been reported at grocery stores, as well as malls and restaurants in and around Toronto.
