19-year-old man and 15-year-old girl arrested following Halloween party stabbings

A 19-year-old man and a 15-year-old girl have been arrested following multiple stabbings at a Halloween party in the Annex on Thursday.

According to Toronto Police, on October 31, officers responded to a report of multiple stabbings that took place at 22 Madison Avenue, near Bloor.

It is alleged that the 19-year-old man and 15-year-old girl were denied entry to a private party being held at the location.

Police say they both allegedly “forced their way in, slashing and stabbing people inside, as well as outside as they were leaving.”

Although earlier reports indicated there were six victims, police confirm there were a total of five victims were injured, one who sustained life-threatening injuries.

The man and the girl were arrested in the area.

Jacob Alves, of no fixed address, and the 15-year-old girl, of Richmond Hill, were each charged with: three counts of Aggravated Assault, three counts of Assault with a Weapon, Weapons Dangerous, and Attempt Murder.

Investigators are requesting local residents, businesses, and drivers — who may have security or dash camera footage of the area or incident — to contact them.
