Four teens between the ages of 16 and 18 are recovering in the hospital after being shot in the city’s west end Wednesday evening, Toronto police say.

According to law enforcement, emergency crews were called to the area of Clearview Heights near Trethewey Drive, which is north of Black Creek Drive and Eglinton Avenue West, around 7:30 pm, after receiving reports of gunshots.

Four people were reported shot, and multiple police units were on scene to investigate.

After emergency crews arrived at the scene, the four victims were taken to local trauma centres, three by the way of emergency run.

Wednesday evening, police confirmed two of the victims were female, and 16- and 17-years-old. The other two victims are male and between the ages of 16 and 18.

Police say all victims suffered serious to life-threatening injuries.

Authorities said they are now looking for three male suspects and are asking everyone that was in the area to check security or dashcam videos and call police with any information.

As of Sunday, October 27, there have already been 395 shootings in the city, according to the Toronto police.
