Toronto lines up in the rain for the opening of The Halal Guys (PHOTOS)

Not even a little lot of rain could stop fans from lining up on Yonge Street for a first taste from The Halal Guys.

The New York-born fast food chain is best known for their menu of gyro, chicken, and falafel served in pita wraps and in combos packed with salad, rice, and smothered with fiery red and/or garlicky white sauce.

The first Toronto outpost opens today on Yonge Street and despite the terrible weather, a line-up of hungry, drenched Torontonians turned up. The earliest among them kicked off the queue at 8:30 am this morning.

Bad weather aside, the line-up is no surprise. The first Canadian outpost drew equally long lines when it opened in Montreal last fall.
