Ford to make announcement with Finance Minister this afternoon

Premier Doug Ford is set to make an announcement on Monday afternoon with the Finance Minister in Woodbridge, Ontario.

Ford and Rod Phillips will be joined by Monte McNaughton, Minister of Labour, Training and Skills Development.

Over the weekend, Ontario broke it’s daily COVID-19 cases record twice in row. On Saturday, the province reported 1,132 cases, with Sunday breaking that record with 1,328.

Last week, Phillips released the province’s 2020 budget which saw additional funding being invested in long-term care, seniors, education, hospitality and healthcare.

The press briefing will take place at 1 pm.
