8 food events to check out this week: January 27 to February 2

Four words to sum up Toronto’s food and drink scene this week: high-intensity wine coaching.

Yeah.

Alongside that, you can enjoy a drag brunch at Rush Lane for their last day of service, (*wipes tear*) attend a “holistic as heck” cooking class and visit a chocolate festival. Here are the deets:

Drag Brunch at Rush Lane

Head to Rush Lane on Sunday to enjoy a cocktail brunch with a lot of sass and a whole lot of drag. There will be bottles of bubbly, feature cocktails, special guests, and a lot of shenanigans… this is an event you don’t want to miss, as it’s also Rush Lane’s last day being open on Queen West.

Holistic as Heck Cooking Class

This holistic as heck cooking class looks good as gold. Sweet and savoury palettes will be satisfied by heart porridge, smoothies, grain bowls, glazed fish, soup and sweet potato fries. Fuel yourself for the week ahead!

Brewery vs Brewery Dinner Series

Each month for three months in a row, two breweries are going head to head, pairing their beer to a four-course meal. This month, it’s Blood Brother’s Brewing versus Rainhard Brewing Co. On the “West End Best End” match-up menu you’ll find oysters, rabbit leg confit, braised short ribs and sticky toffee pudding.
