Jun 7 2017, 7:43 pm

Roberta’s Pizza founding pizza chef, Anthony Falco is coming to Toronto for a two-day pop-up in Toronto next week.

He’ll even bring along some cured meats if customs allows it.

Falco is famous for his pizzas known as bar pies, thin crispy crusted creations loaded with seasonal toppings.

Expect signatures like The Loving Cup Supreme loaded with pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, and pickled chilis along with The Green Machine, a cream-based white pie with seasonal greens.

While the menu is subject to availability of ingredients at the market (Falco intends to source the bulk of his ingredients at the Evergreen Brickworks Farmers’ Market on Saturday before the pop-up kicks off), there’s the promise of vegetarian and meat options, white and red pies along with salads, and Italian-American staples like fried mozzarella, eggplant parm, meatballs, panzerotti, and more.

To drink, a selection of natural wines and rum and Brio cocktails.

The pop-up is on June 11 and June 12 from 4 pm until late at the pizzeria on Ossington. Walk-ins only, first come first served.
