Toronto has no shortage of weird ice cream flavours. Beyond the city’s unwavering obsession with the charcoal soft serve trend, there are tons of rare and interesting ice cream flavours to try.

Put a Cone On It, a compact parlour in Koreatown, is releasing a new curry corn ice cream after owner Matthew Lee, was inspired to experiment with a curry ice cream after a recent trip to Tokyo’s Disneyland.

“The Disneyland in Tokyo had a vast array of popcorn flavours and the curry flavour really caught my eye,” said Lee. “When I got home, I decided to try the same thing with ice cream.”

The curry-corn ice cream is dotted with pieces of corn and has a great umami flavour to it and it makes its Toronto debut this Saturday, August 11 at the Bloor Street ice cream shop.

If curry corn ice cream is too adventurous, look forward to other, more common flavours such as black sesame, earl grey, and mango lassi.
