People in Toronto are obsessing over this aesthetic new cafe

A Toronto neighbourhood is officially home to an absolutely adorable new cafe that specializes in creative drinks and desserts.
Scarborough is, in our opinion, one of the undisputable food capitals of Toronto.
More central, downtown locales like Little Italy and Dundas West tend to hog the spotlight — and that attention isn’t undeserved by any means — but Scarborough always seems to be harbouring some underrated gems that blow even the trendiest of hot spots out of the water.
Since opening its doors in mid-August 2025, Craves Bites & Cafe has been one of those spots.
Boasting clean, minimalistic interiors (save for the small addition of some coloured LED strip lights) and an extensive menu of drinks, desserts, and what is perhaps the prettiest avocado toast in the GTA, the cafe has been steadily gaining attention and securing its status as a new neighbourhood staple.
At the time of publication, they’ve even managed to maintain a perfect five-star Google rating out of nearly 200 reviews, with diners raving about everything from the desserts and the drinks to the overall vibe.
Online reviews aren’t everything, but these certainly paint a pretty picture.

Craves Bites & Cafe boasts a five-star rating on Google after its first month in business.
A decidedly dessert-forward type of establishment, the menu at Craves Bites includes an impressive lineup of sweet treats, from classics like Strawberry Cheesecake and Molten Lava Cakes to more unique offerings like Mini Pancakes smothered in your choice of sauce or a Croffle topped with ice cream.
As for drinks, the Tiramisu Latte has quickly become a resounding favourite thanks to its creamy mascarpone flavouring and generous topping of cocoa, with the vibrant Strawberry Matcha coming in a very close second.
As for savoury food, which just so happens to be entirely halal, the menu is slightly more limited, with only two items on offer, but they’re no less aesthetically pleasing than everything else you can find at the cafe.

The Egg Avocado Toast comes served straight-up, but you can opt to add pastrami on top for an added protein kick, and we suggest you do. It’s a similar story with its Egg and Cheese English Muffin.
It’s all too easy for those of us living downtown to stick to our usual haunts when it comes to going out for brunch, but if Craves Bites is teaching us anything, it’s that sometimes taking the path less travelled is worth it.
