Toronto restaurants teaming up for an epic, end-of-summer block party this weekend

A bunch of spots in one of Toronto’s most restaurant-dense neighbourhoods are joining forces to put on an epic block party this weekend.
Summer might be winding down, but with a late-season heat wave bearing down upon the city and citizens’ social batteries not yet drained by the incoming onslaught of holidays, there’s no time like the present to get a little extra partying in.
There are a ton of events happening in Toronto this weekend to celebrate the last weekend of Summer 2025, from the ever-popular Picklefest Toronto to Thai Festival YYZ, but in the case of Bloor West, it’ll be the second-annual instalment of its neighbourhood block party.
Taking place in Bloorcourt Village, the stretch of Bloor Street West between Crawford Street and Gladstone Avenue the block party will see a slew of the neighbourhood’s hottest restaurants team up for a day of friendly neighbourhood vibes and epic eats.
A neighbourhood that’s utterly packed with great restaurants, you can rest assured that the food and drinks on rotation will be just as delectable as the vibes are, if not better.

Local staples like Chantecler, Civil Liberties and Wenona are all on the lineup, alongside buzzy spots like Electric Bill and Shrinking Violet.
While you can never miss by sticking to the classics, some newcomers are getting in on the fun, too.
To meet the new kids on the block, swing by Gochu Libre Kantina for some distinct Mexican-Korean eats; No Notes, which operates out of Field Trip Cafe for quirky cocktails, local brews and bar bites; or Piano Piano Bloor.

Participating restaurants will have their patios (if they have them) alight with tunes and activities, with food and beverage specials to really make it a party.
Before too long, we’re all going to enter our hermit eras once again, refusing to leave the house unless absolutely necessary until the first signs of spring, so there’s no time like the present to hit the streets and hang out with your neighbours ā whether you’re a Bloorcourt resident or not.
