So far this week, the city has bid adieu to Dumbo Snack Bar and Track & Field.
And now, desserts are taking a hit, too.
Cookie Scoop, one of Toronto’s favourite spots for over-the-top sweets, has announced its closing on Instagram.

“As Iām writing this post, tears are flowing and there are a lot of them,” the post’s caption reads, before citing the need for some self-care as the reason behind the closure of the North York spot.
“The time has come for me to hang up my scoops because being 10 years in the food business has taken its toll on me. Itās time to go back to being just me.Ā This was my decision to call it quits so I can take the time to look after myself,” the post says.

The image shared after the closing announcement says that starting Wednesday, May 22, the shop will be offering special closing sale. Little details are offered but it will run from 1 pm to 6 pm and there will be a limited of 12 cookies per person.
