Restaurant group behind Byblos to open a downtown Israeli kitchen
The same restaurant group that’s behind Toronto favourites Byblos, Mira, Figo and Kōst are about to open a brand new restaurant at King and Portland streets.
This time, the flavours will be coming out of an Israeli kitchen.

Shook, the newest venture by Iconink, is projected to open at the buzzing downtown intersection this spring.
According to a recent job posting, the spot hopes to open as early as mid-May. Which means the area can look forward to a new burst of flavours super soon.
The posting also describes the new concept as vegetarian, meaning those who prefer their diet to be vegetable-focused are about to have yet another option on-deck.
And knowing the vibe of Byblos, Mira and the like, we’re betting this spot is going to be serving a mood too.

The spot’s Instagram account, already up and running, describes the word “shook” as a noun, meaning “a modern melting pot of cultural and regional culinary traditions,” and “a vibrant gathering place where good food and great company are woven together to create lasting memories.”
Get ready for something delicious.
