There's a festival celebrating coconuts in Toronto this month
Toronto has a festival for everything. And to prove that, Canada’s fifth annual Coconut Festival and Marketplace will return to Toronto this August.
Taking over David Pecaut Square, the coconuts focused food festival is all about the health benefits and deliciousness of the tropical fruit.
More than 70 vendors dealing in coconut infused foods, cosmetics, fashions, and more, are expected to hawk their wares alongside a superfoods expo, offering wellness talks and dance and yoga sessions.
Attendees can look forward to dining on artisanal snacks like vegan coconut cakes, chips, dips, and full meals highlighting coconut in street foods from the Caribbean, Thailand, and Hawaii.
Best of all, admission is free.
