Canada's Wonderland hiring for its tentative spring opening

After announcing its opening date for the 2021 season, Canada’s Wonderland is now looking to hire a bunch of people as they plan to open for May.

The family-favourite amusement park is set to reopen on May 14, 2021. While it depends on what provincial guidelines are set in place for COVID-19 at the scheduled time of opening, they’re getting prepared just in case they get the green light.

Though Ontario’s Heritage, Sport, Tourism, and Culture Minister, Lisa MacLeod, said it’s too soon to say if the park can reopen as planned, they continue to monitor provincial guidelines and work alongside industry and government officials to make sure its opening can be as painless as possible.

As for jobs, the amusement park posted over 70 positions with starting pay of $14.15 an hour, all the way to $20 an hour and more.

Positions include lifeguards, cashiers, sales associates, maintenance, landscapers, and supervisors among a list of other postings.

During the pandemic, the park took a more virtual approach, uploading rollercoaster rides for thrill-seekers to enjoy right at home.

Although it isn’t the same, in only a few short months (fingers crossed), the park will open up for you to feel the excitement, once again.
