The news comes out in a to-the-point Instagram post, with a caption that reads “Last Day of the Cadillac Lounge is July 14th.”
Another post, shared only a few days prior, invites “serious student filmmakers” to take the space and its story on as a portfolio project.
“Using the last days of the Cadillac Lounge as a jumping off point you can explore, question and interview myself, seek out other business owners and possible patrons about the state of live music and it’s venues in the city of Toronto,” the post’s caption reads.
“Why has support for live music taken such a nose dive?”
