There's a 'beer university' opening in Toronto this summer

Summer! It’s so close you can practically taste it.

The promise of prime patio time, soaking up sun rays, and sipping suds sounds spectacular. Even the idea of summer school is starting to sound appealing.

Especially when local craft beer is on the curriculum.

Slated to open in June, Northern Maverick Brewing Co. is going in at Bathurst and Adelaide and according to a job posting on brewingwork.com, the massive brewpub will not only house a 10-hectolitre brewing production system, retail beer store, 400-seat restaurant with patio and private dining room, but also a beer university offering classes to the public.

Whether students will be able to major in beer-drinking or beer-making at the incoming ‘university’ is still unclear. Daily Hive has reached out for comment and will report back when more details are made available.

In the meantime, you can start cheersing.
