Alex Trebek may be leaving Jeopardy! soon.
According to a recent interview with TMZ’s Harvey Levin, the 78-year-old game show host and Ontario native said that there is a “50/50 and a little less” chance he will stay on as host Jeopardy! when his contract expires in 2020.
And while most Canadians will think Trebek is irreplaceable, the quiz-master himself offered a couple of ideas as to who could take over the hosting job if/and when he retires.
One of his choices is LA Kings’ announcer Alex Faust, who said he was “flattered” by Trebek’s choice.
I guess there are worse ways to randomly see your name show up on TMZ! š¤·š»āāļø
Iām flattered by Mr. Trebekās kind words, and delighted to hear heās a big @LAKings fan! š

The second option Trebek suggested was CNN Legal Analyst Laura Coates.
“Incredibly honored & humbled Jeopardy Alex Trebek 1) knows who I am 2) thinks I’d be a great host of my fave game show ever that I grew up watching w/ my family & still watch w/ my own kids (who saw him say this & now think I’m a genius),” tweeted Coates.

We hope there’s a Canadian in the running…
Perhaps Seth Rogen could volunteer for the job?
