What to eat in and around Seattle today: Grillbird

Those looking for the next great place to try teriyaki need to try Grillbird.

With chicken teriyaki being Seattle’s unofficial dish, Grillbird wanted to offer their own version of the delicacy as a love letter.

The restaurant is Halal-friendly, offering Noor Al Jabal All Natural halal-certified chicken. Those who have gluten-free diets can also select options to ensure that meals are prepared correctly and safely.

According to their website, the teriyaki shop is different from others in the city as they are “not bound by what others do or have done with teriyaki.” The restaurant creates unique and creative plates while embodying the spirit of traditional teriyaki.

To start, we recommend the fried cauliflower or greens.

Next, you have to go for the chicken teriyaki. If you’d like to try more than one thing on the menu, opt for a combo. Served with mac salad and cabbage salad, enjoy two proteins for the price of one.

In addition to ordering for yourself, add a $15 pay-it-forward dish to your order, to offer a meal to the teachers of Washington.
