What to eat in and around Seattle today: Bar Harbor

Jul 15 2020, 8:02 pm

Boozy ice pops, loaded lobster rolls, and crabby mac and cheese are only a few of our favorite things about Bar Harbor.

The New England-inspired spot features simple dishes using the freshest seafood that will have you drooling at first sight.

While the inside of the restaurant is still closed due to the pandemic, the back deck of the restaurant is currently open and ready for sit-down service.

Before you even take a look at the food menu, order up a bunch of boozy Cape Codder ice pops.

Then, start your meal with a jar of pickled seasonal vegetables, a cheeseburger tartare, or stick to a seafood theme with the Manila clam dip.

Next, order a salad to share. We love the “Lobb” salad with Maine lobster, avocado, bacon, tomato, and a soft egg, but you can’t go wrong with a classic roasted garlic Caesar or Dungeness crab salad.

You could decide to order the lobster or crab mac and cheese and crispy pork belly, but we suggest skipping the plates and going straight to the main attraction: the rolls.

Pick between a Maine lobster roll, Dungeness crab roll, or pork belly roll. You won’t go wrong either way.

Finally, if you’ve still got room in your belly, go for the whoopie pie or fluffernutter dessert.
