Snohomish County now providing drive-thru coronavirus testing

As of 9 am Monday, high-risk Snohomish County residents with COVID-19 symptoms are able to receive free coronavirus testing at a drive-thru clinic.

The community-based drive-thru testing site will test 180 to 200 people a day and is accessible by appointment in the large parking lot near Everett Memorial Stadium at 3900 Broadway.

The test site is currently only open to those experiencing symptoms of coronavirus, including a cough, fever of at least 100.4°F, sore throat, and/or shortness of breath, and works in healthcare, public safety, or critical infrastructure or are 60 years or older, or have underlying medical conditions or a weakened immune system or are pregnant.

“We have limited resources for testing. We have to prioritize. For people who have mild symptoms, are not high risk, and are not working in a job that provides critical services, a positive test result would not change how they should handle their illness,” says Snohomish Health District.

“Stay home, avoid contact with others, and make sure you are resting, hydrating and eating healthy meals. There is no vaccine or cure at this time.”

Those looking to book an appointment can do so online and receive results after three to five days of testing.

If multiple people plan to arrive for testing in the same vehicle, they must each complete the online screening.
