Sign up for an instant library card from the Seattle Public Library

In this time of self-isolation, we’d like to remind you about the Seattle Public Library, a great resource, especially because of the massive selection of online e-books that are accessible for most computers, phones, and tablets.

As of March 26, Seattle residents no longer need to visit a library branch in order to pick up a library card. Those 13 years or older can apply for an instant library card online with their phone number.

“We are working hard to find new ways to support Seattle residents during this unprecedented public health crisis,” said Circulation Services Manager Bo Kinney.

“Whether you’re a parent looking for a just-right chapter book, a telecommuter brushing up on skills or a senior who wants a light read after a heavy day of news, we have resources for you.”
