Longtime Jeopardy! host Alex Trebek “passed away peacefully at home” early Sunday morning, according to the game show’s official Twitter account.
The beloved game show host and Canadian native announced in March 2019 that he had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer via a video message.
Trebek checked in one year later in March 2020 to update his fans and followers of his health status, and then again in July saying his treatment was ongoing and that he was in good spirits.
