Drive through the Pike Place Market Flower Festival on May 9

The Pike Place Market is known for quite a few things: local goods, historic shops, and fresh flowers.

Rather than canceling the 12th annual Flower Festival, the Pike Place Market PDA has decided to evolve the event and run it a little bit differently this year.

On May 9, the walkable Flower Festival is transforming into a drive-thru celebration at four pop-up locations throughout Seattle and Renton.

Customers can pre-order bouquets ranging in price from $16 to $41 starting Tuesday, April 28, and pick them up on May 9 at Pike Place Market, North East Capitol Hill, Urban Family Brewery Co. in Ballard, or The Brewmaster’s Taproom in Renton.

Each purchase of flowers helps to support the market’s flower farmers, including Alm Hill Garden, Mendez & Casallo, Mendez Farm, Neng Farm, See Lee Garden, Va Cha Garden, Woodinville Valley Farm, and more.

Those looking to order bouquets and market boxes must do so online by May 6.

If you’re unable to participate in this year’s Flower Festival, you can still support the market’s flower farmers by picking up a bouquet at their various businesses.
