Oregon reports over 1,200 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours

The Oregon Health Authority has reported 1,243 new and presumptive COVID-19 cases, with 30 new deaths today.

The state has now seen a total of 88,287 virus cases, and the death toll has risen to 1,110.

The new confirmed and presumptive COVID-19 cases reported today are in the following counties: Baker (three), Benton (11), Clackamas (109), Clatsop (six), Columbia (seven), Coos (18), Crook (five), Curry (one), Deschutes (51), Douglas (27), Grant (four), Hood River (16), Jackson (54), Jefferson (22), Josephine (16), Klamath (36), Lake (three), Lane (85), Lincoln (14), Linn (33), Malheur (22), Marion (192), Morrow (three), Multnomah (208), Polk (26), Tillamook (five), Umatilla (30), Union (seven), Wasco (nine), Washington (163), Yamhill (57).

Since Tuesday, the number of hospitalizations has increased by 27, bringing the total number of hospitalized patients to 580. The reason for the reduced hospitalization count was not stated in the release. As of the last count on December 8, five more people are in the ICU bringing the total to 132.
