A sidewalk sale is happening this weekend in Portland

There will be more than 30 different vendors at this weekend’s Sidewalk Sale in Northwest Portland from July 10 to 12.

Oregonians are no strangers to garage sales, open-air vendors, and farmers markets, which is exactly why the community organizers for NW Portland hold this fabulous event featuring some of the city’s most beloved brands and stores.

“The community is looking for safe and positive ways to come back to our local businesses. We’re hearing a lot of folks saying they want to support small businesses. They understand that our local businesses are a vital part of the special character of NW Portland. So an event like this is a perfect way to connect shoppers and businesses right now. People can shop outside, in the open air, at a safe social distance,” says Lee Mendelsohn, president of the NW Business Association.

The event website says that the organizers are implementing health and safety restrictions.

“We’re thrilled to have more than 30 businesses enlisted in the sale so far,” Mendelsohn says. “We expect to have a great event for the neighborhood. Right now, the weather forecast is for it to be a lovely, sunny weekend. We look forward to welcoming folks back to the great shopping streets of NW Portland.”
