A new spot for delectable fried chicken just opened in PDX

Jul 9 2020, 6:07 pm

Holler opens its doors in Portland’s Sellwood district on Thursday, bringing chef Doug Adams’ (of Bullard fame) modern remakes of classic bar food to the masses.

The strictly take-out venture will provide pub fans an amazingly wondrous journey through those menu staples people expect from a venue designed around sports consumption and social gatherings.

Chef Adams’, and his buttermilk fried chicken, is now available for pick-up.

Many thanks to those of you who have already welcomed us to the neighborhood and for all who we haven’t met yet, come on down, we open at 10 am,” reads the celebratory opening-day post on the Holler Instagram channel.

The established venue from the same team, Bullard, has been a favorite in Portland for a while, and lands somewhere in between southern comfort and fine dining options.

“While we all continue to be safe and weather this storm,” reads the Holler about us page. “We are so proud to join the neighborhood and feel pretty lucky to share some of our nostalgic, family-friendly favorites, all found at holler take-out.”

For those of you that consider yourself a lover of the battered bird, or you just want one of the most delicious (and locally sourced) meals, check out Holler PDX on the web, and order something for take-out.

Its full menu includes different sized buckets of that exceptional fried chicken, burgers with many options, and best of all full meal kits. You can order a full meal deal with chicken and sides, or you can pick up burger packs in denominations of three, six, or twelve.

Holler is now open.
