There is a special spot in the Portland food neighborhood of Cartside that takes a beloved American staple and throws all of the rules out of the window.

You’ve heard of corndogs, and there are plenty of things to love about them. Firstly, they are food on a stick — a surefire way to up the enjoyment for any food. Secondly, they are deep-fried.

When was the last time you had an amped-up corndog? Something that takes the traditional fair food and blasts it into the stratosphere. We think you should head to Ko Sisters to have your mind blown.

Ko Sisters is a fantastic way to find some epic Korean street foods, or at the very least some wickedly delicious Korean takes on American street and fair food classics.

What to order

There are plenty of things on their menu that are worth your time. From Korean barbeque wonders to plenty of options served up on sticks, an adventure in flavor, spice, and texture awaits you at Ko Sisters.

We’re here for the corndogs though.

If it wasn’t obvious in our introduction, Ko Sisters has put a magnificent twist on the classic corndog, made with mozzarella, fish cake, corn batter, sugar, and condiments like ketchup and mustard.
