Quebec reports over 50 new coronavirus cases, three more deaths

The Quebec government revealed that the province’s COVID-19 death toll has reached 5,673 after announcing three new deaths since Wednesday morning.

COVID-19 cases in the province increased by 53 in the past 24 hours.

According to Santé Quebec, there are now 59,131 cases in the province, 208 hospitalizations, and 18 patients in the ICU.

Currently, a reported 753,885 tests have turned up negative throughout Quebec, and over 30,000 cases have been resolved.

The new data had been reported by hospitals and public health officials as of Wednesday, July 29, at 6 pm.

Santé Quebec says that along with the newly announced cases, hospitalizations increased by 18 since Wednesday afternoon, including ten in the ICU.

Canada’s coronavirus death toll now totals 8,917.
