Quebec reports five new coronavirus deaths and over 100 more cases

The Quebec government revealed that the province’s COVID-19 death toll has reached 5,633 after announcing five more deaths and 109 known cases since Monday morning.

According to Santé Quebec, there are now 56,730 cases in the province, 295 hospitalizations, and 21 patients in the ICU.

Currently, a reported 641,941 tests have turned up negative throughout Quebec and over 30,000 cases have been resolved.

The new data had been reported by hospitals and public health officials as of Monday, July 13, at 6 pm.

Santé Quebec says this is the third day in a row in which 100 or more cases have been reported.

The provincial public health authority says that despite the new cases, hospitalizations continue to drop.

Canada’s coronavirus death toll now totals 8,790.
