Quebec reports three new coronavirus deaths and 100 more cases

The Quebec government revealed that the province’s COVID-19 death toll has reached 5,612 after announcing three more deaths and 100 known cases since Thursday morning.

According to Santé Quebec, there are now 56,316 cases in the province, 317 hospitalizations, and 24 patients in the ICU.

Currently, a reported 613,521 tests have turned up negative throughout Quebec and over 25,000 cases have been resolved.

The new data had been reported by hospitals and public health officials as of Thursday, July 9, at 6 pm.

Santé Quebec says the number of people in hospital for COVID-19-related problems has increased by nine. The first hospitalization numbers increase in three weeks.

Canada’s coronavirus death toll now totals 8,749, an increase of 12 from Thursday.
