Quebec reports over 960 coronavirus new cases, 19 additional deaths

Quebec health officials have added 963 new COVID-19 cases to the provincial total along with 19 new virus-related deaths.

Four deaths have been attributed to the past 24 hours and 15 have been added to the total earlier on in the month.

Total coronavirus cases in the province has now reached 101,885 along with 6,172 deaths.

Public health is reporting 1,770,406 negative tests and 527 hospitalizations — 91 of which are in intensive care. According to Sante Québec, 86,786 cases have been deemed as “recoveries.”

The new data has been reported by hospitals and public health officials as of Tuesday, October 24, at 6 pm.

Public health continues to advise people to frequently wash their hands, use alcohol-based sanitizers, wear face masks in public, and respect the maximum 10-person limit for indoor gatherings.

Canada’s coronavirus death toll is now 9,977.
