Quebec adds over 30 coronavirus deaths, more than 860 new cases to provincial total

Quebec health officials have added 871 new COVID-19 cases to the provincial total along with 34 new virus-related deaths.

Of the newly added deaths, five occurred over the past day, 25 occurred between October 27 and November 1, and four occurred before October 27, as per Santé Quebec.

Total coronavirus cases in the province have now reached 108,889 along with 6,317 deaths.

Public health is reporting 1,824,597 negative tests and 526 hospitalizations — 85 of which are in intensive care. According to Sante Québec, over 90,000 cases have been deemed as “recoveries.”

The new data has been reported by hospitals and public health officials as of Monday, November 2, at 6 pm.

“For now, the spread of the COVID-19 is under control in Quebec,” says public health, “but the present weeks are critical.”

Public health continues to advise people to frequently wash their hands, use alcohol-based sanitizers, wear face masks in public, and respect the maximum 10-person limit for indoor gatherings.

Canada’s coronavirus death toll is now 10,222.
