Across the province, a combination of snow thawing and heavy rainfall has caused major floods and home evacuations.

Though Montreal isn’t expected to be hit as hard as other regions like Rigaud, Beauce, Rivière-des-Prairies, and Sainte-Marie, 30 mm of possible rainfall in two days can still be dangerous.

Winds are also expected to hit heavy over the next two days, according to the weather website, with gusts of 33 km/h and 39 km/h on Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively.

Locals should monitor weather alerts in the coming days and remain diligent when travelling outside.
