It may be a shiny and warm Easter Monday in Montreal, but Tuesday could be brining some rain.
And plenty of it.
According to The Weather Network, the city can expect up to 20 mm of rain tomorrow, followed by another 10 mm on Wednesday.
- Floods force over 1,200 Quebecers to evacuate their homes on the weekend
- Canada issues travel advisory for Sri Lanka due to explosions
- Montreal modelling agent arrested and charged with sex-crimes involving minors
- Investigators looking into short circuit as possible cause of Notre-Dame fire
Across the province, a combination of snow thawing and heavy rainfall has caused major floods and home evacuations.
Though Montreal isn’t expected to be hit as hard as other regions like Rigaud, Beauce, Rivière-des-Prairies, and Sainte-Marie, 30 mm of possible rainfall in two days can still be dangerous.
Winds are also expected to hit heavy over the next two days, according to the weather website, with gusts of 33 km/h and 39 km/h on Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively.
Locals should monitor weather alerts in the coming days and remain diligent when travelling outside.
