The weather is starting to heat up again as we enter the latter half of the week. While we’ve been given plenty of reminders that summer is coming to an end, it’s not time to throw in the towel just yet.

Montreal RibFest

RibFest returns to the Old Port today, bringing some of the best rib vendors from Montreal and abroad. Each serving up racks upon racks of mouthwatering ribs.

The festival will feature much more than just ribs. There will also be live music, local vendors, entertainment, and a huge kid’s play zone.

SYML at La Tulipe

The indie-rock band Barcelona’s frontman Brian Fennell has embarked on a solo journey as SYML. The Seattle native’s music is moodier than Barcelona’s indie sound and his first EP’s single Where’s My Love has gathered over 11 million views on YouTube.

He’s at the intimate La Tulipe tonight, a perfect setting for his music.

Canada vs Brazil at Place Bell

The FIBA Basketball World Cup qualifiers get underway at Place Bell tonight as Team Canada takes on Team Brazil.

Kelly Olynyk, a seven-foot centre with the Miami Heat, will be one of six NBA players in the lineup when Canada faces Brazil in a crucial qualifying game.

Gardens of Light

The Gardens of Light Festival is finally upon us.

The lantern festival includes a lighted path through the Botanical Garden’s three cultural gardens, The Chinese, Japanese and First Nations Gardens, all looking at nature from a different perspective.
