The first snowfall of the year can cause quite the ruckus, especially when it comes early. People sprint to get proper winter clothes while drivers rush to install snow tires. And, in some cases, confuse the road with a sidewalk.
A video posted to social media over the weekend showed two drivers on rue Wellington in Montreal who mistook the sidewalk for the adjacent three-lane road.

Reddit user Alphtrion first posted the video on Saturday and some fellow Redditors claimed that this was a common miscue in the area due to a lack of proper signage.
