The Quartier des Spectacles’ public square, Place des Festivals, has been shining a bit brighter all season with the arrival of the 10th edition of Luminothérapie.
This year’s edition, Pop!, is a celebration of five fantastical creatures whose goal is to illuminate part of the city during the dark days of winter.
Because if anything can lighten up our bleak winter, it’s Quebec’s largest temporary public art installation.
Set up at the end of November, Luminothérapie sums up its nine-week run on Sunday, January 26.

Pop! is created by Gentilhomme, a Montreal-based multidisciplinary creative studio that specializes in the creation, direction, and production of interactive films, experiences, and installations.
This year’s edition features five dancing and illuminated tube creatures named POPO, POPUP, POPLI, POPETTE, and POPOTIN, and the colours, along with Montreal’s backdrop, make for some pretty good Instagram shots.
