If you haven’t hopped on a Lime e-scooter yet, this month might be a good time.
Lime Montreal is offering two free rides (up to ten total minutes) for new users throughout September and all scooter-hopefuls have to do is download the app.

Lime Montreal stresses that freebie riders must wear helmets and park the electric scooters in their “designated parking zones” once the ride is over.
The battery-powered scooters have been available in Montreal since August across Ville-Marie, Cote-des-Neiges-NDG, Villeray-Saint-Michel-Parc-Extension, and Westmount.
The pilot project is slated to run scoot throughout Montreal until November.
If you’re about to hop on your first free Lime ride, remember that the app-activated rides are prohibited on sidewalks and on roads that exceed 50 km/h speed limits.
Regular rates cost $1 to unlock and 30 cents per minutes afterwards, through the Lime app.
