You can ride Montreal's giant Ferris wheel for free tomorrow

Aug 31 2017, 9:49 pm

We never thought it would happen but Montreal’s giant Ferris wheel will finally open tomorrow and you’ll have the chance to ride it for free.

To celebrate its grand opening La Grande Roue de Montréal is offering the first 250 guests a free ride.

The grand opening event takes place at 4 pm but it is best to arrive early.

The 60-metre wheel is located on Bonsecours Island. At the top, the attraction will give visitors views of Montreal’s Old Port, Mont-Royal (or the mountain), the river, and surrounding areas as far as New York State.

The wheel was originally set to open in July and then the opening was delayed further to August.

And yes, tomorrow is September, but the grand opening has come along just in time for Labour Day Weekend. So be sure to get out there and check out Montreal’s newest attraction!
