CW's Arrow announces the series will end after season 8
It’s sad news for fans of the Arrowverse.
Stephan Amell, lead actor of the series, announced that CW’s Arrow would enter its final season this coming fall.
“Playing Oliver Queen has been the greatest professional experience of my life… but you can’t be a vigilante forever,” he wrote in a Tweet.
The Toronto-born actor also noted that the eighth season would be shortened and only include 10 episodes, as opposed to the usual 23.
Playing Oliver Queen has been the greatest professional experience of my life… but you can’t be a vigilante forever.
Arrow will return for a final run of 10 episodes this Fall.
There’s so much to say… for now I just want to say thank you.

The longstanding show first aired on CW in 2012 and is one of the network’s most popular programs.
The series also introduced the Flash, Supergirl, and Legends of Tomorrow, all of which are filmed right here in Vancouver.
Keep an eye out for Amell and the rest of the cast, as they’ll be filming in Vancouver for just a little while longer.
