Quebec confirms 79 more coronavirus deaths as cases near 43,000

The Quebec government revealed that the province’s COVID-19-related death toll has reached 3,562, after announcing 79 more deaths on Sunday.

In addition, officials confirmed 737 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of known cases province-wide to 42,920.

Of those, 1,766 of those require hospitalization, 183 of whom are in ICU.

A total of 11,754 people in the province are now considered recovered.
