Here's where you can get tested for coronavirus throughout Montreal

Santé Montreal is encouraging citizens to get tested as soon as they develop COVID-19-related symptoms or if residents have been in contact with someone who’s confirmed with the disease.

Quebec Premier Françcois Legault said the government is gradually moving towards the province’s goal of 14,000 tests per day and is encouraging Quebecers to go out and get tested.

Dr. Mylène Drouin, Montreal’s director of public health, says the aim is to quickly isolate known-coronavirus cases to reduce the spread of the virus as quickly as possible.

There are currently seven testing clinics around the island, four by appointment and three walk-ins. Mobile STM bus clinics are moving around the city, conducting as many as 200 tests per day.

According to the Santé Montreal website, bus testing is prioritized for people in hot-zone neighbourhoods and other Montrealers are urged to head to clinics “within their sector.”

Before heading to a testing site, Montrealers are asked to call (514) 644-4545/1-877-644-4545 to get an on-phone assessment before being referred to the right spot.
