This tropical indoor water park outside Montreal is worth the road trip (PHOTOS)

If a three-hour road trip is worth sneaking away from the middle of Montreal’s winter, you could be in luck.

From swaying palm trees to humid temperatures, heated water, slides, and wave pools, Bora Parc is a cost-effective alternative to Bora Bora.

Now might be a good time to dig those bathing suits out of the closet.

Part of the giant vacation parks and hotel complex, Valcartier, Bora Parc is a massive indoor water park.

The 102,000 sq. ft. indoor park features a 14,000 sq. ft. wave pool, 14 slides (five of which are over 50 feet tall), a lazy river, a family pool with activities for young children, a double surf wave, and a restaurant terrace that overlooks the entire complex.”

Located 280 km outside of Montreal, Bora Parc is open all year long so you can escape the cold, relax, pound back a Mai Tai or two, and pretend you’re on a faraway island in the South Pacific.

(If you’re smart with Instagram tags, nobody will know the difference)

In case you’re still in need of some convincing, here are some topical and tropical photos of the resort.
