Immerse yourself in the heart of the Thai jungle at Anantara Golden Triangle Elephant Camp & Resort in Chiang Rai and witness magnificent Thai elephants in their element from the comfort of your very own transparent Jungle Bubble.

“Perched on a wooden deck above the forest, your luxurious bubble offers uninterrupted views of our gentle giants, as well as the stunning starlit sky above,” the resort’s website states.

The bubbles were custom designed by Eye in the Sky and are made from a high-tech polyester fabric developed with Précontraint Serve Ferrari technology.

You will have ample space in these air-conditioned Jungle Bubbles to relax and get comfortable with a king bed as well as a separate seating area.

Also enclosed is an ensuite bathroom. But don’t worry, those are not transparent!

Guests can marvel in being fully immersed in nature as they observe firsthand the majesticness of elephants and their quiet, curious, albeit timid nature.

“Setting a benchmark for welfare, our award-winning elephant camp offers unforgettable journeys – some included in your Discovery package and others as additions to your experience,” the website explains.

The Golden Triangle Elephant Foundation (GTAEF) provides a safe place for elephants that have been rescued from unfortunate circumstances, such as illegal logging camps or the wildlife entertainment industry.

It also provides a home for mahouts and their families.

Activties include participating in a daily walk with elephants and their mahouts, an ELE Elephant Learning Experience, as well as a VIP Elephant Arrival.

If guests would like to support these beautiful animals further, they are invited to sponsor an elephant.

According to the website, “it takes approximately USD 18,000 to look after a single elephant a year, and your money will be put towards food, general upkeep and medical care.”

If you are interested in this unique, eye-opening experience, the Jungle Bubbles start from THB 17,700 ($762 CAD) per night for two people.
