Get paid to hang out with dogs and live in a London townhouse rent-free

Nov 27 2019, 10:24 pm

London and doggos? Pinch us. We must be dreaming.

A busy British couple is seeking a live-in housekeeper at their six-storey townhouse in Knightsbridge, a residential neighbourhood south of Hyde Park and northwest of Belgravia, in London’s West End.

They are both international businesspeople who have two high-energy dogs but frequently travel for their work.

According to the job posting on Silver Swan Recruitment, “This is an informal property, and they need someone to keep on top of the house while they come and go and to have sole responsibility of the dogs in their absence.”

Key responsibilities include daily housekeeping, morning and evening short dog walks, food shopping, and PA duties — such as booking appointments, provisions, and insurances for the dogs.

They are also required to run errands, liaise with the dog walker and cleaner, and perform general overall management of the property.

The ideal candidate “MUST have a passion for dog care,” and experience looking after dogs is essential.

Additionally, they must have previous housekeeping experience, and any cooking experience is “advantageous.”

The couple is looking for someone who is fit and active but also trustworthy and hard working.

There will also be instances where the individual will be required to prepare evening meals that “cater for a vegan.”

According to the job posting, the salary will be between £30,000 – £32,000 ($51,430 – $54,859 CDN), and the working hours will be Monday to Friday with occasional weekends.

The successful applicant will live with the couple in their home.

This job is the ultimate opportunity to combine two amazing, beautiful things: hanging out with dogs and being in England.

Plus, besides the occasional weekend outing, you’ll have the rest of the time to explore London — who doesn’t want that!

If this sounds like your dream job, fill out an application.
