THE CHALLENGE

For this campaign, Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre Hotel hoped to promote safe, local tourism in light of government limitations and COVID-19 concerns in the travel industry. Along with promoting interest in the hotel, another key objective was to raise awareness of the BC Residents Rate which allows locals to save money when booking future staycations.

THE SOLUTION

Hive Labs worked closely with the client to create a safe plan for experiential content given the circumstances of the pandemic. This saw our writer spend a night at the hotel to gain an insight into the new protocols and measures that guests can anticipate during their stay. Key details on the procedures in place, from check-in to ordering room service, were weaved throughout the content while demonstrating how the location of the Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre Hotel puts guests at the centre of convenience.

This campaign hit home with our audience at a time when interest in pursuing local travel was higher than usual, leading to 3,255 page views and 17,140 contest entries on social.
