One of Edmonton's popular matcha pop-ups has found a permanent location
Calling all matcha tea lovers! It’s your time to shine.
Whisked is Edmonton’s own matcha pop-up shop, and after a short while of appearing around the city, it has finally found a permanent location.
The matcha shop focuses on iced matcha drinks, persisting in finding the perfect blend and flavour of the green, grassy tea.
Kommune Snack Bar, a cafe and cocktail bar sitting on Jasper Avenue, was the first to host this pop-up, and now the collaboration between Kommune Snack Bar and Whisked is taking it one step further.

Kommune Snack Bar will now be working with Whisked to do Mornings at Kommune, Matcha by Whisked, with the grand opening event being held this Saturday, Aug. 30.
At this grand opening celebration, held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., the first 25 customers will receive a free tote bag, a free baked good, and a free matcha drink of their choice. During this event, there will also be a live DJ spinning throughout the day, accompanying the good vibes, house-baked goods, and craft coffee and matcha.
This means starting Saturday, Kommune Snack Bar will be open in the mornings and evenings, serving coffee, matcha, and pastries at 8 a.m., and serving drinks until late.
Whisked shared a sneak peek at the upcoming menu on its Instagram this week, and it’s looking good!
Some items featured include its classic Matcha Latte, unsweetened with matcha and oat milk, its Strawberry Matcha Latte for a sweet kick, and items like its Matcha Tonic, matcha poured over sparkling tonic.
If you’re a fan of matcha, this is definitely one to keep on your radar.
